Are you interested in obtaining a Georgia license plate with the Gamecock logo on it? Are you interested in letting everyone know who you root for? Well, here's your chance.

Gamecock License Plate Ordering Procedures


1. The specialty tag form to use in ordering the University of South Carolina Gamecock tag is the MV9Q form. You can download it here. Complete the form and send it to Carolina Alumni Association of Atlanta, c/o Mike Wilkie (see below). Send a check for $30 also made to Carolina Alumni Association of Atlanta. Keep a copy for your records.

2. Use Carolina Alumni Club of Atlanta as the Name of Organization. Use Mike Wilkie's information in the Sponsor's blanks.

3. When 1,000 plates have been sold, the MV9Q order forms will be taken to the DMV and production of the plates will begin. Applicants will pick up their tag at the local tag office.

4. Any ad valorem taxes, etc, that need to be paid will have to be paid upon receiving the tag. The $25 is only a production fee. It is not applicable toward any taxes.

5. Mail of the MV9Q form and a check for $25 tag fee to:

The check must be made to the Carolina Alumni Club. That is the organization that is bonded to receive the funds. DO NOT make the check to Mike Wilkie or any other individual or club. These funds will be deposited in the club account pending disbursement to the DMV.

6. The club will provide a spread sheet to the DMV of the applicants by name and county. This information will facilitate DMV in getting the correct amount of tags distributed to the local tag offices.

7. Applicants will receive a receipt for the tag fee. This receipt will be distributed to the applicants via email. They will take the receipt to the tag office when picking up their tags. APPLICANTS MUST HAVE A WORKING, PERSONAL EMAIL ACCOUNT IN ORDER TO RECEIVE THEIR RECEIPTS. PLEASE DO NOT USE WORK EMAIL ACCOUNTS because of spam filters. If you do not have a personal email account, you can create one free at Yahoo, Google, or other free sites. Include your e-mail account with your check and MV-9Q form.

8. The first one hundred numbers in the series have been reserved. If you would like to request one of these numbers, please indicate that along with your check and form. Every effort will be made to honor the requests on a first come, first served basis.
